The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, announces the establishment of a new scholarship. The Goble Rausche Likins Scholarship Fund was established in October 2020 with a generous donation from GRL Engineers, Inc. (GRL) and Pile Dynamics, Inc. (PDI).
Adapting to the new normal, GRL Engineers have made substantial efforts to provide safe and reliable testing. Pile Driver’s article states, “GRL Engineers, Inc. has adapted its procedures to COVID-19, now collecting data from sites and sending it to engineers at other locations.”
The article in Pile Driver states “Based on WEAP results and multiple conversations with the contractor, Insight Group was able to economize by having a single Vulcan 510 air hammer to be used for both initial driven and re-strike… PDA results verified the design inputs and provided additional confidence in the design change.”
