Dr. Elvis Ishimwe joined GRL Engineers Chicago office after completing his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Elvis’ research accomplishments include multi-faceted areas of deep foundations and unsaturated soil properties. Elvis has evaluated the effects of liquefaction-induced dragload and downdrag on drilled shafts and driven piles within the New Madrid Seismic Zone. He is an active member of Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) and Geo-Institute (G-I). Elvis has published many articles/journals spanning various geotechnical topics and is fluent in both French and English.
